Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Social Work Team Manager for the Safeguarding Team in Walsall, UK. This locum role pays £41.42 per hour and runs for 3 months.

The post is full-time with three days in the office and two days remote. You will lead a team of social workers and practitioners, oversee assessments, care planning and court proceedings, and work with partner agencies to safeguard children.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support a dynamic team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, ASYEs and Trainee Social Workers to deliver safeguarding services.
• Oversee assessments, care planning, reviews and interventions ensuring statutory timescales are met.
• Manage Family Help and Child Protection plans, including pre-proceedings and court proceedings.
• Provide safeguarding oversight and make complex decisions to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Monitor team performance through supervision, audits, QA and performance management.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to implement multi-agency support and strategic planning.
