Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd on behalf of a local authority is seeking an experienced Social Media Officer to lead digital storytelling, create engaging content and support council priorities. The role combines office days in Brentwood and Rochford with some home working.

You will craft posts, edit video and imagery for social channels, monitor engagement, analyse audience data and report findings. A creative, proactive communicator with public sector awareness will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience creating content for social media platforms.
• Ability to edit video and imagery for digital campaigns.
• Understanding of public sector communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content across social platforms including written, visual, and multimedia.
• Schedule, publish and monitor content with a friendly, human tone.
• Monitor coverage and report on social activity.
• Manage council social channels effectively.
• Identify trends and suggest new approaches.
• Collect and report on audience insights for organic and paid campaigns.
• Support team to translate campaigns into social content.
• Design multimedia assets for social use.
