Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a proactive Social Media Officer in Brentwood to turn ideas into compelling content that informs, educates and engages residents. You will craft posts, develop graphics, and manage campaigns across platforms, while capturing smartphone photography and video to enrich communications.

You will schedule and optimise content, monitor interactions and respond in a timely, human manner, supporting newsletters and internal comms.

Qualifications

• Experience creating social media content across multiple platforms.
• Ability to write clear, engaging social copy and campaign messaging.
• Ability to develop graphics and assets for social media and newsletters.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and high-quality content across a range of social media platforms.
• Produce written content including short-form social posts, longer-form articles and campaign messaging.
• Develop graphics, imagery and other creative assets for social media, newsletters and internal communications.
• Capture and edit smartphone photography and video content.
• Schedule, publish and optimise social media content using best practice techniques.
• Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional and human manner.
