Tesco is seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join the Fish Buying team on a 12 month maternity cover. You will own key shellfish categories from concept to shelf, using customer insight, market trends and supplier partnerships to create commercially successful ranges that drive growth and value for customers.

You will work with Own Label Natural Work Teams and senior stakeholders, shaping the shellfish proposition and delivering on KPI targets while balancing sustainable supplier

Qualifications

• Experience in buying and range management in a food/fresh category.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Data-driven approach to trend analysis and trading decisions.
• Proven ability to plan, execute and evaluate promotions and events.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to ensure the Shellfish category has a long term customer-led plan.
• Visit stores and websites, review customer insights to shape ranges.
• Source customer/market insight led ranges and product innovation.
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve trading position sustainably.
• Own shellfish raw material buying model and related processes.
• Deliver department trade, promotions and events plans to exceed KPIs.
• Collaborate with Tesco Business Services and Supply Chain to ensure timely product availability.
• Coordinate artwork, POS, and ensure compliance with policies and training.
