Zusammenfassung

Zopa is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join the Finance function in London. You will provide technical accounting support for ongoing activities, new products and initiatives, and play a key part in horizon scanning, policy development, and coordinating the annual report.

Strong stakeholder management and IFRS expertise are essential. The role is hybrid with 2-3 days in the London office, with optional remote work abroad up to 120 days/year.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Solid IFRS knowledge applied to financial services.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex accounting to non-accountants.

Aufgaben

• Carry out technical accounting assessments for new transactions, products and significant contracts.
• Coordinate parts of the annual report and accounts with cross-functional teams.
• Manage stakeholders across Product, Legal, Treasury and Risk.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and manuals; guide policy application.
• Support balance sheet activity including IAS 39 and IFRS 9 hedging.
• Assist with month-end reporting and liaison with external auditors.
• Horizon scan new legislation and accounting standards; assess impacts.
