Job summary

Times Higher Education in London is seeking a qualified Senior Management Accountant to own the monthly management accounting cycle, ensure a robust control environment, and provide timely financial information for PE backers, the Board and senior stakeholders.

This hands-on role shapes the Financial Control function and offers scope to implement process improvements using Excel, Power Query and BI tools, while mentoring the junior team and deputising for the Financial Controller as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in management accounting.
• Experience in PE-backed or fast-growing businesses is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 / IFRS as applicable.
• Experience with Board or investor reporting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts pack preparation and deadlines.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
• Conduct month-end P&L review and variance analysis with commentary.
• Support FP&A with revenue and gross profit reporting by product/customer.
