Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor for construction projects across the South West, including Bristol and Cardiff. The role offers hybrid working with travel, four days on site and one day at home, reporting to the Head of Health and Safety.

You will support site teams, write RAMS/SSOWs, and lead safety initiatives while driving a positive safety culture across multiple projects. NEBOSH certification is essential.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Essential).
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Desirable).
• Experience within construction, civil engineering or related industries.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support site teams and subcontractors with compliance through regular engagement and building effective relationships.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
• Write and review RAMS and SSOWs.
• Drive continuous improvement across projects.
• Deliver toolbox talks and lead safety initiatives.
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and accident investigations.
