Qualifications

• Experience in carrying out ecological surveys and habitat assessments.
• Familiarity with PEAs, habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
• Ability to produce high-quality ecological reports and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and site inspections to support projects.
• Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) and protected species surveys.
• Assess ecological constraints and risks for development proposals.
• Prepare ecological reports, impact assessments, and management plans.
• Deliver Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and habitat creation support.
• Provide ecological advice to project teams and clients throughout lifecycles.
• Design and oversee mitigation, compensation, and enhancement measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and guidance.
• Assist with species licensing applications and monitoring where needed.
• Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders; use GIS to analyse ecological data.
