Job summary

InfoSum Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support safeguarding the organisation’s information and assist with security initiatives. You will help monitor systems, support risk assessments, and aid in maintaining compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Working within the IT Security team, you will collaborate across functions to implement policies, assist audits, and help respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in information security, IT, or a related field.
• Understanding of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Basic knowledge of risk management and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools and incident response practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities; report incidents to the security team.
• Assist risk assessments by collecting data, identifying risks, and helping develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in creating and updating security policies and controls to meet ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Support internal and external security audits and address findings with corrective actions.
• Assist incident response by documenting incidents and analyzing causes to prevent recurrence.
• Help organize security awareness trainings for employees.
• Assist in evaluating third-party vendor security practices.
• Maintain records of security activities, policies, and procedures.
