Job summary

Anson Mccade is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support the design, development and validation of RF and mixed-signal electronics for defence applications. You will own RF development lifecycle from schematic design to laboratory validation, collaborating with electronics, PCB layout, systems and test specialists.

Based in Belfast with relocation and hybrid working (3 days onsite), the role offers hands-on ownership and a pathway to production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF electronics is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in defence, aerospace or high-technology environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams across electronics, PCB layout, systems and test.

Responsibilities

• Design RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex systems.
• Develop transceiver and RF front-end architectures using monolithic RF chipsets.
• Design RF schematics, impedance matching networks and BOM selections.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers on signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Plan and execute laboratory verification using VNAs, spectrum analyzers and RF test gear.
