DJF Solicitors Group is seeking a conveyancing assistant to support the residential conveyancing team in Solihull. You will handle file progression from instruction to completion, perform ID/AML checks, and provide client-friendly updates throughout the transaction.

The role requires previous experience in residential conveyancing, familiarity with conveyancing protocols, and excellent customer service skills. Hybrid working is offered with time in the Solihull office and from home.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in a residential conveyancing team.
• Experience using a legal case management system.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly, professional manner on the phone and in writing.
• Ability to handle clients with care, tact and patience.

Responsabilidades

• Progress residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion.
• Open new matters, perform client ID and AML checks, and send client care documentation.
• Order searches, request title documents, and prepare draft contracts and standard forms.
• Act as a first point of contact for clients, agents and other law firms, providing clear updates.
• Handle client queries with care and escalate to the fee earner when needed.
• Chase outstanding documents and funds to keep matters moving.
• Keep the case management system accurate with notes, tasks and dates.
• Prepare completion statements and assist with exchange and completion arrangements.
• Assist with post-completion tasks including SDLT returns and Land Registry filings.
• Follow AML, client care and data protection policies; provide general admin support.
