Job summary

QED Legal LLP is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Assistant in Leeds to join a busy property services team. Up to £26,000 plus benefits with hybrid working.

The role supports conveyancers across high-volume conveyancing, exchange and completion processes, and client-facing service. The ideal candidate has at least 12 months' residential conveyancing or remortgage experience, strong IT and data-entry skills, and enjoys a proactive, team-focused environment with targets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience in residential conveyancing or remortgage
• Experience in conveyancing, administrative or customer service environments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and targets
• Good data input and IT skills
• Able to work as part of a team and use own initiative
• Experience working in a high-volume environment
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude

Responsibilities

• Supporting conveyancers to achieve conversion, service and performance targets
• Providing excellent customer service to clients and professional referrers
• Managing electronic and paper files and ensuring records are kept accurately
• Chasing clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties for information and documentation
• Chasing and reconciling monies from lenders, clients and other solicitors
• Assisting with exchange and completion processes
• Inputting and interpreting information including redemption figures
• Preparing, sending and checking legal and conveyancing documentation
• Interpreting and inputting mortgage offers on purchase transactions
• Dealing with enquiries relating to sale transactions
• Supporting the wider team with general administrative and conveyancing duties
