The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Research Technician to join the Translational Oncogenomics team within the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. You will support the Career Acceleration Fellowship Award by running experiments, maintaining cell stocks, analyzing data and training staff in essential lab techniques.

This role emphasises rigorous record keeping, safe working practices, and collaboration with the Fellowship holder and head of the translational oncogenomics group.

Formación

• Competent computer skills.
• A qualification at QCF level 6 (such as a bachelor's degree) in a relevant biological science subject.
• OR QCF level 2 passes (such as GCSE's) in English and Mathematics and at least one Science subject and some relevant experience of working in a research laboratory.

Responsabilidades

• Running experiments and maintaining cell stocks.
• Data analysis and maintaining accurate records of laboratory work.
• Using, maintaining, and teaching the use of research equipment.
• Assisting staff and students to operate safe working practices and ensure health and safety compliance.
