Job summary
Local Pensions Partnership Administration (LPPA) invites a strategic Head of AI to shape governance and delivery of AI across the organisation. Hybrid or remote-based with travel to Preston, you will build an ambitious AI strategy, operating model and roadmap that translates emerging tech into measurable improvements for colleagues and members.

Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience in AI, technology, transformation or automation.
- Proven experience delivering AI or automation strategies in complex organisations.
- Experience establishing governance, risk and assurance frameworks for emerging tech.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI, data protection and cyber security.
- Practical understanding of AI technologies and applications.
- Experience leading technical or specialist teams.
- Strong people leadership and coaching.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to drive tech-enabled change.
- Experience managing suppliers and partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Analytical and strategic thinking.
- Balance innovation with governance and security.
- Experience delivering AI use cases with measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop LPPA's AI strategy, roadmap and implementation plans.
- Advise Executive leaders on AI opportunities, risks, trends and investment priorities.
- Shape LPPA's AI operating model with clear ownership and governance.
- Identify AI, automation and analytics opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Monitor AI developments, regulation and industry expectations.
- Partner with business and technology teams to embed AI-enabled working and realise benefits.
- Lead the evaluation, prioritisation and delivery of AI initiatives.
- Drive AI adoption, training and awareness across LPPA.
- Oversee AI capability within existing and future software solutions.
- Define measures of success for AI initiatives.
