Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to join the London & Southeast Cost Management team. You will own defined workstreams, deliver cost management services and build trusted client relationships across commercial real estate, healthcare, education and more.

You will work within a hybrid model across London, Tunbridge Wells, Epsom, Oxford and Cambridge, reporting to senior managers while developing your leadership and APC readiness toward Senior QS/Cost Manager

Qualifications

• Experience delivering quantity surveying or cost management in consultancy, client-side or contracting environments.
• Sound understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management with cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
• Working knowledge of UK contracts (JCT and/or NEC).
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills with attention to detail.
• Confident communication and stakeholder skills with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Organised and proactive with ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a team.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• MRICS or approaching MRICS; accreditation expected within 6 months; proficient in MS Office and CostX or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver QS and cost management services across all project lifecycle stages.
• Prepare measures, BOQ, schedules of work, tender documentation and procurement support.
• Manage costs during delivery including valuations, forecasting, change control and final accounts.
• Identify risks and communicate opportunities; attend client/consultant/contractor meetings.
• Develop client relationships, assist with bids, proposals and knowledge sharing.
