Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Bristol is seeking a Quality Engineer to continually improve management systems, identify issues, and collaborate with local and global teams to align with Atlas Copco and customer requirements. You will report to the Quality Manager.

You will drive the Quality Document Management System, develop QA protocols, perform audits, risk analyses, and mentor staff while leading cross-functional projects. The role offers hybrid work between remote and on-site at our Bristol office.

Qualifications

• Excellent fluency in English, spoken and written, with ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• Coaching, listening and questioning skills with openness to others' views when developing solutions.
• Strong self-awareness and self-regulation, especially under pressure.
• Customer and commercial awareness is preferred.
• Capable of managing projects to completion with motivation.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation and improvement of the Quality Document Management System at Clevedon in line with Atlas Copco global requirements, international standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain business continuity plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Lead cross-functional quality and continuity projects.
• Maintain the internal quality audit program.
• Conduct business management system audits.
