Causeway Group in Middlesbrough (Hybrid) is hiring a QA Engineer focused on automation. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests across systems, integration, and regression levels, with manual testing when needed.

You will contribute to CI/CD, drive shift-left quality, collaborate with software engineers, delivery leads, and product owners, and develop robust testing frameworks and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, with demonstrable automation output.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and integrating them into a CI/CD pipeline.
• Proven ability to design, write, and maintain automated test scripts across System, Integration, and Regression levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts across System, Integration, and Regression levels, with automated coverage as the primary measure of test delivery.
• Apply manual testing where automation is not yet in place or is not appropriate, with a plan to automate those areas over time.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Delivery Leads, and Product Owners to embed quality across the full development process.
• Provide clear testing documentation and artefacts, ensuring automated test coverage and results are visible and well-maintained.
