Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our Prime Services team. You will develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and BDD, ensuring a high-quality service for internal clients.

Role requires strong API testing experience, SQL skills, and collaboration with development and production support to prevent defects and drive testing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven automation testing experience with strong Java skills.
• Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
• Strong API automation/testing experience and SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a BDD automation framework.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and regression testing artifacts.
• Act as a quality gate, documenting and tracking defects.
• Develop and execute API-based automation tests for functional and non‑functional testing.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize QA processes and prevent production defects.
• Work with business and production support to investigate issues.
