Job summary

Bettys & Taylors Group is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join our Group Technology and Digital function on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Harrogate. You will lead test analysis, planning, and execution with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement, working with developers, leads, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions.

The role requires on-site presence in Harrogate with hybrid-working options.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software testing and QA practices.
• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification as a minimum.
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience in UI and API test automation.
• Familiarity with low-code automation tools such as Virtuoso, Leapwork, TestComplete.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Jira, DevOps, and test management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the adoption of test automation within projects and change initiatives.
• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with developers and project teams throughout the SDLC.
• Create and maintain test plans, scripts, and regression test suites.
• Execute testing activities, track progress, and report outcomes clearly.
• Identify, log, and manage defects and drive resolution with teams.
• Provide testing best-practice guidance to SMEs and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Produce high-quality test documentation and exit reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third parties to ensure test coverage.
