Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Band 5) to join its NHS Talking Therapies service in the Hounslow area. The role involves screening referrals, assessing clients, and offering low-intensity interventions across multiple delivery modes, with supervisor opportunities and strong emphasis on CPD.

You will work autonomously within a plan agreed with line management, supporting diverse client groups and using interpreters as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed or near completion of Talking Therapies Low Intensity worker/Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification
• Registered as a PWP or working towards registration with the BPS/BABCP
• A second class honours degree or higher in Psychology
• Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
• Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis
• Talking Therapies LTC Training
• Experience of working clinically with people with mental health problems and/or other disabilities
• Experience of co-working with staff in other agencies (e.g. health visitors or staff in drug and alcohol services)

Responsibilities

• Screening referrals and assessing clients to determine needs
• Offering a range of treatment options (e.g. GSH and groups)
• Clinical administration and liaising with healthcare providers
• Work with clients via telephone, online and face-to-face
• Opportunities to hold a champion and supervisor role
• Support people from diverse backgrounds and use interpreters as needed
