Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager to lead high‑value contracts within the public sector, based in Sheffield with some travel across the force area. The role focuses on managing contracts end‑to‑end and driving performance to deliver public services.

You will negotiate with stakeholders, manage risks, and provide strategic commercial guidance. MCIPS Level 6 is required, and a track record in public procurement is essential; hybrid working involves 2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• MCIPS Level 6 or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Proven contract management experience in the public sector.
• Strong negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proactive project and contract lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to drive collaboration and success.
• Conduct contract negotiations and oversee the full contract lifecycle, from inception to conclusion.
• Monitor contract performance, manage risks, and implement improvements to enhance service delivery.
• Provide expert advice on commercial strategies and best practises to support the organisation's objectives.
• Prepare and present reports on contract performance and compliance to senior management.
