Job summary

Assystem in the UK is seeking a proactive Project Planner to support the Defence Infrastructure portfolio. You will coordinate schedules with the Project Managers and PMO, track progress, and prepare concise reports across multiple teams.

The role is based in Derby or Newcastle with a flexible hybrid model of home and office work. Essential requirements include NEC4 Contracts experience, Primavera P6 to intermediate level, and strong MS Office skills (Excel/Project).

Qualifications

• Experience as project planner on NEC4 Contracts.
• Primavera P6 to intermediate level.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Project.
• Degree preferred; PM qualification (APM) would benefit.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage project schedules for internal and external use.
• Coordinate work packages to align with the schedule and manage resources.
• Review and approve sub-contractor programmes.
• Interface with stakeholders to report progress, risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to proposals with manhour estimates and planning.
• Generate concise reports with critical path analysis for Defence Infrastructure Lead Team.
