Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting in Swansea, United Kingdom, is seeking an organised and proactive Project Manager to plan and deliver complex projects for the public sector. The role is hands-on within structured governance, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high standards.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders through regular reporting. Hybrid working, with on-site presence typically 3 days per week, is available to support

Qualifications

Proven experience managing multiple projects in a similar role (typically 3+ years).
Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Confident using project management tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, MS Project, or Monday.com).
Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

Lead projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Build and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource forecasts.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers, and keep them accountable.
Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders through regular reporting and meetings.
Manage changes to scope, cost, or schedule using a clear change control process.
Run project meetings such as kick-offs, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving project processes.
