Job summary

Experis UK is seeking an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of complex, large‑scale strategic programmes in a regulated environment. The role requires governance, regulatory awareness, and delivery across multiple workstreams.

The role is hybrid with three on-site days per week in the Sheffield area, offering an umbrella rate of £450–£495 per day. You will interact with senior stakeholders and drive benefits realisation through robust planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex enterprise programmes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing at executive level.
• Strong financial oversight including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with governance, risk management and regulatory oversight.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across business and technology.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes within budget, timelines and benefits realization.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive programme plans, roadmaps and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and project teams for aligned execution.
• Establish governance frameworks with reporting, escalation and decision processes.
• Manage programme budgets, forecasts, resource allocation and financial controls.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, business and tech teams, and suppliers.
• Drive programme reporting and updates to executives and steering committees.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements; drive business readiness and benefits realization.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices in programme management.
• Facilitate strategic decision-making with insight into performance, risks and opportunities.
