Job summary

Treatt is seeking a Production Planner for its site in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, with hybrid working opportunities. You will own scheduling and maintenance for your area, acting as the conduit between Commercial and Production to prioritise customer requirements and drive efficiency for profitability.

You’ll proactively manage stock, analyse data and BOMs, and support continuous improvement. Collaborating across functions, you’ll apply MRP/ERP tools to ensure on-time deliveries and aligned plans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of MRP and ERP systems.
• Ability to make critical but subjective decisions and prioritise workloads.
• Data extraction, analysis and administration.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Collaborative team-player with strong communication across regions.
• Numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) and/or SAP.
• Stock management, forecasting and demand planning.
• Experience in Flavour & Fragrance industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all production requirements for designated area(s).
• Plan and schedule workflow for each area in line with manufacturing lead times.
• Monitor customer orders and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Analyse product data to determine processes, capacity and resource needs.
• Analyse BOMs to optimise stock rotation and lead times.
• Be the first contact for planning and production enquiries.
• Prioritise orders, critical demand planning and resource loading.
• Track works orders through status levels to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review contract stocks and replenishment to balance availability and stock.
• Use MRP and planning tools to interpret demand accurately.
• Monitor capacity planning, demand profiles and scenario planning.
• Keep planning tools updated with new product launches.
• Align commercial needs with operational requirements in the short-medium term.
• Review policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as required and uphold Treatt values and health & safety.
