Job summary

Häfele UK Ltd is seeking a commercially focused Buyer to join our Procurement team at the Rugby Head Office. You’ll own sourcing across direct product categories, lead supplier negotiations and build strategic partnerships to drive value, quality and service for a market-leading business.

This permanent, full-time role is hybrid, core hours 8:45am to 5:30pm, with site-based work on Monday and Tuesday and one additional day at home.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, buying or sourcing
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a track record of delivering value
• Excellent analytical, numerical and planning abilities
• Commercially minded with an eye for opportunities and risks
• Experience managing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements
• Ability to manage projects and collaborate across multiple functions
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders
• A solutions-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement
• Lean, Six Sigma, indirect procurement and/or a CIPS qualification would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement projects that deliver commercial value, cost efficiencies and long-term business benefits
• Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring Häfele UK achieves the best value and service levels
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and innovation
• Identify new sourcing opportunities and market trends to strengthen our product offering
• Support tendering and supplier selection activities with robust decision-making
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and the wider Häfele Group to meet objectives
• Ensure suppliers meet ethical sourcing, compliance and sustainability standards
• Monitor supplier performance, risks and opportunities, providing insights for improvement
