Job summary

Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions Ltd in Bolton is looking for a Junior Buyer to support daily procurement operations, supplier management and purchase order administration in a hybrid, full-time role. You will work with engineering and planning teams, maintain ERP/MRP data, monitor deliveries and chase orders to minimise delays, while developing supplier relationships as you gain responsibility.

Salary is £25,000–£27,000 per year plus benefits including pension, health cover and life

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, planning or relevant administrative role.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Management: Maintain accurate purchase order records in the ERP system and ensure delivery dates and supplier information are up to date.
• Supplier Communication & Expediting: Liaise with suppliers to obtain acknowledgements, confirm delivery schedules, chase orders and identify delays.
• Procurement Reporting & Data Analysis: Support OTIF reports, monitor procurement KPIs and maintain data to identify supplier trends.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work with Engineering, Planning, Goods-In and Finance to resolve queries and delivery discrepancies.
• Buying Support & Development: Cover for Buyers during absences and develop knowledge to take on more responsibilities.
