Job summary

NHS Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support the end-to-end procurement process within Pathology. You will work as part of category teams, maintaining KPIs and delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders.

This permanent role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the Daresbury office, a salary of £29,316 rising to £32,573, and a strong benefits package including a pension and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Confident use of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel to analyse data and produce reports.
• Experience in a commercial or procurement environment and understanding of contracts and value-for-money.
• Strong communication skills for clear written and verbal stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to build positive relationships and work with colleagues across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities by delivering objectives and following processes.
• Collect, analyse, and report on contract performance, market trends, and supplier information.
• Undertake basic contract management activities and maintain records.
• Prepare accurate reports and documents using standard office software.
• Provide stakeholder and customer support by coordinating meetings and addressing queries.
