Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is working with a professional services firm to appoint a Tax Manager for its Private Client tax team. The role focuses on personal tax compliance, client management and technical review for a portfolio of high net worth individuals.

You will oversee delivery of high-quality tax compliance work, act as a key contact for clients and HMRC, and provide guidance to junior team members. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in personal tax.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance.
• Experience preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients.
• Confident liaising with HMRC and high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex personal tax returns.
• Own a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients.
• Ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and handle enquiries.
• Keep up to date with tax legislation changes and communicate them.
• Review work by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Support development and training of junior colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for advisory work within existing clients.
• Support senior management with ad hoc advisory projects.
• Collaborate with Wealth team to provide joined-up client service.
• Monitor portfolio time, profitability and billing.
