Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Principal Solutions Consultant in Glasgow/Edinburgh hybrid role, offering leadership across client delivery projects and mentorship to the team. You will guide design reviews, ensure quality and drive best practices in data-driven financial solutions.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in reconciliation tech, financial data management, regulatory reporting, and complex datasets, with a track record of leading solution delivery in financial services environments.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software solutions in Financial Services, FinTech, SaaS or data-driven environments.
• Proven experience with reconciliation platforms, financial controls, transaction processing, or regulatory reporting.
• SQL skills including querying, data manipulation and performance optimisation.
• Experience leading solution delivery, implementation or technical projects.
• Strong understanding of software development and implementation lifecycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Ability to mentor and support technical team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of client implementation projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Developers and Consultants.
• Review and approve solution designs.
• Act as a senior escalation point for technical and delivery issues.
• Drive delivery standards, governance and best practice.
• Support testing, defect management and acceptance activities.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure projects stay within scope, timelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and support teams.
