Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to support defence programmes at Ashton Vale, Bristol, Ashchurch, Gloucestershire or Devonport, Plymouth. You will provide expert quality leadership across the project lifecycle and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and performance embedded in all deliverables.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements and requires collaboration with programme managers, engineering teams and customers to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Considerable practical, hands-on experience in a related industry and understanding of quality across the lifecycle.
• Experience implementing quality improvements and driving culture change within an organisation.
• Experience writing and implementing quality processes.
• Knowledge across product lifecycle quality disciplines.
• Ability to lead investigations using problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Programme Managers and Engineering leads.
• Develop and implement Project Quality Plans.
• Establish and monitor KPIs.
• Drive best-practice quality approach.
• Manage and implement quality risk-based assurance activities.
