Job summary

NHS Essex Integrated Care Board is seeking an experienced analyst to build predictive, regression and forecasting models on need, demand and resource use, using large health and care datasets.

You will analyse data in R, SQL and Power BI, test assumptions, document limitations and present findings to senior leaders and colleagues across population health, evaluation and commissioning. Hybrid working with two office-based days is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent managerial experience.
• Sustained commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Build predictive, regression, forecasting, risk-stratification and scenario models on need, demand, outcomes and resource use.
• Analyse large health and care datasets in R, SQL and Power BI, choosing methods suited to each question.
• Test and document assumptions, assess model performance and set out limitations.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through reports, visualisations and briefings.
• Work with population health, evaluation and commissioning colleagues so outputs are interpreted and applied well.
• Provide quantitative input to wider analytical, population health and evaluation work.
• Support information governance, data protection and data sharing compliance.
