Job summary

London Borough of Camden is seeking a proactive Development Management Planner to process planning applications, provide pre-application advice, and lead enforcement duties. You will contribute to planning performance agreements and evidence for appeals, while supporting Camden's digital strategy and climate initiatives.

Candidates should have a degree in Town Planning (RTPI eligibility preferred) or relevant experience, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification in Town Planning or be working towards RTPI eligibility.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Able to manage a high caseload and work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process planning applications, provide pre-application advice, and carry out enforcement investigations.
• Negotiate planning obligations, S106/CIL contributions and performance agreements.
