Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is looking for a Cyber Security Penetration Tester to deliver hands-on security testing of client web applications, APIs and infrastructure across UK-wide engagements. You will work within a collaborative testing team, receiving guidance from senior testers and CHECK Team Leaders on complex engagements.

This role is suited to an early-career tester seeking to broaden technical skills, pursue industry certifications, and contribute to remediation guidance and detailed

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' commercial penetration testing experience.
• Knowledge of common web and API vulnerabilities including OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with Burp Suite, Nmap and Metasploit; ability to validate findings.
• Clear technical writing and reporting with reproducible evidence.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and tool-assisted testing of web apps, APIs and infrastructure.
• Identify, validate and safely exploit vulnerabilities within rules of engagement.
• Prepare engagements by confirming scope and prerequisites with the engagement lead.
• Write reports with evidence, risk ratings and remediation guidance.
• Support remediation and perform retests; escalate critical findings as needed.
• Share knowledge through peer review and tooling improvements.
