Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Cyber Security Penetration Tester to deliver hands-on security testing of client web applications, APIs and infrastructure. You will work within a collaborative testing team, guided by senior testers, to identify vulnerabilities, demonstrate impact and advise on remediation.

The role targets early-career testers aiming to progress through industry certifications. The position is UK-wide with hybrid work (in-office once a month).

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of commercial penetration testing experience across web apps, APIs and infra.
• Good knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and API Security Top 10.
• Experience with Burp Suite, Nmap and Metasploit.
• Ability to validate findings and provide reproducible evidence.
• Clear technical writing explaining risk and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and tool-assisted testing of web apps, APIs and infrastructure.
• Identify, validate and safely exploit vulnerabilities within rules of engagement.
• Explain attack paths and business impact to stakeholders.
• Follow OWASP, PTES and CHECK/CREST standards.
• Write reports with evidence, risk ratings and remediation guidance.
• Support remediation and carry out retests to verify fixes.
