Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a Payroll & Pensions Officer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, operating on a hybrid basis with two days in the office and the remainder from home. The role covers end‑to‑end payroll processing, pensions administration, and regulatory compliance in the UK.

The successful candidate will manage RTI, PAYE, NIC reporting, and respond to employee queries while ensuring data is reconciled with finance records and aligned with company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing with pensions administration.
• Solid knowledge of UK payroll regulations and pension legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; able to explain complex payroll issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Administer the full payroll cycle for employees, ensuring accurate and timely salaries and deductions.
• Oversee processing of pension contributions, ensuring compliance with schemes and legislation.
• Stay up-to-date with payroll and pension regulations and ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports, RTI, PAYE, NIC, and pension reports.
• Respond to employee payroll and pension queries with clear guidance.
• Ensure payroll and pension data reconciles with finance records.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and benefits teams to support payroll operations.
