Job summary

Historic England invites applications for a Part Time Research Coordinator to support the Research Development Team in forming high-quality partnerships with Higher Education Institutions and other research bodies. The role focuses on developing strategy, building relationships, and managing pre- and post-award activities in a flexible hybrid setup.

You will work across multiple locations (York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cambridge, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth or London) with a

Qualifications

• A high-quality qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience of supporting partnerships between organisations, ideally within in a research context.
• An understanding of the Higher Education sector and research.
• Demonstrable commitment to supporting early career skills development.
• Experience in project and/or information co-ordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Research Development Team in growing Historic England’s reputation through partnerships with HEIs and other research bodies.
• Assist in developing research strategy, building relationships and submitting high-quality proposals.
• Monitor post-award stages, dissemination, and post-project activities for funded research.
• Provide project support for externally funded research and collaborate with internal teams to realise opportunities.
