Job summary

Community Base in Brighton is seeking a warm, organised Community and Events Fundraising Officer on a part-time basis (30 hours/week) to grow community, corporate and events fundraising across Brighton, Hove and West Sussex. Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the Brighton office during probation.

You will coordinate fundraising activities, develop local partnerships and steward supporters to create a lasting positive impact for older people.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, sales, customer-facing or relationship-building roles.
• Excellent communication and ability to represent the charity at events and meetings.
• Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Organised, creative and able to manage a varied workload.
• Able to travel across West Sussex, Brighton & Hove; full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver fundraising activities with individual fundraisers and third-party events.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, community groups and supporters.
• Tell the charity's story and create a positive supporter experience to encourage long-term engagement.
• Support and steward fundraisers, supporters and local groups.
• Grow community, corporate fundraising and events activity.
• Build positive relationships with local businesses and community organisations.
• Research and develop new fundraising ideas and income opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to raise awareness of campaigns and activities.
• Maintain accurate supporter records in the fundraising database and monitor activity.
• Report on progress, income, supporter engagement and impact.
