Job summary

Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mid Level Software Engineer to join our Agile development team. This role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days from home) to help drive the development of our Revolution cloud-based platform and other critical applications across 1,400+ adviser users in the UK.

You will design, develop, and enhance software, collaborating with developers, testers, support teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial experience (normally 3 years+) as a Software Engineer using Microsoft technologies.
• Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, MVC, WebForms, Entity Framework, and modern development practices.
• Experience with VB.Net would be beneficial.
• Exposure to Blazor, Telerik and/or React would be advantageous.
• Experience developing and maintaining web-based applications.
• Good understanding of Git, including branching and merging strategies.
• Strong SQL skills and experience writing efficient queries.
• Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with unit testing frameworks (MSTest/NUnit/xUnit).

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain features across our Revolution platform and internal applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Participate in technical design discussions to shape scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, support teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold high coding standards, security, and best practices.
• Analyse technical challenges and work with the team to deliver effective solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure excellent user experience.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and issues in applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and share knowledge across the team.
