Job summary

Sword is seeking a contractor to support a significant IT Transition Project on an initial 3-month contract, hybrid on-site with our Aberdeen based Oil & Gas Operator customer. The role focuses on baselining the programme schedule, validating the critical path, assessing risks, and aligning plans with resources.

The ideal candidate will have strong MS Project experience, hands-on scheduling, and the ability to generate schedule reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining detailed project schedules.
• Strong understanding of task sequencing, milestones, dependencies and baselines.
• Proven ability to analyse planning data and support PMO governance.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Define tasks, durations, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
• Ensure schedules reflect progress, forecasts and baselines.
• Integrate multiple schedules into programme-level plans and ensure PMO standards are met.
• Prepare highlight reports, RAID logs, and PMO reporting packs.
• Present scheduling insights to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
