Cavendish Nuclear in Hessle or Grimsby is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work on complex programmes in clean energy, nuclear decommissioning and defence. The role offers hybrid working with three days onsite and a strong emphasis on delivering robust mechanical solutions.

The candidate will develop calculations, drawings and documentation while collaborating with customers and suppliers to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions on complex programmes.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering calculations and technical documentation.
• Experience working within highly regulated or high-hazard industries.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering mechanical engineering solutions for complex engineering programmes.
• Producing and maintaining technical calculations, drawings and engineering documentation.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, customers and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting technical problem-solving activities and mentoring less experienced engineers where appropriate.
