Job summary

Gold Group is recruiting a Contract Mechanical Engineer for a major land combat vehicle programme. Location mix includes Bristol on site, with one day remote/work from home and 3 days in Bristol, plus ongoing site presence. The initial term is 9 months, with a rate of £45-50 per hour.

Qualifications

• EngTech registration or equivalent as a minimum.
• Proven track record providing technical engineering advice.
• Ability to gain SC Clearance.
• Experience delivering engineering outputs on large programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise.
• Investigate and resolve cross-project technical issues.
• Provide technical advice to support decisions and delivery.
• Identify design conflicts and integration issues across programme pillars.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Produce and contribute to engineering outputs and deliverables.
• Engage with engineering, project and stakeholder teams.
• Support integration and delivery of the programme.
• Assist with trials at other locations as required.
