Job summary

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a highly analytical Business Research & Intelligence Analyst to support the Business Development and Marketing teams. You will deliver market, company, industry, and competitive intelligence to drive strategic initiatives across the firm.

The role focuses on secondary research, analysis, and producing high-quality written deliverables, including company profiles, executive biographies, M&A tracking, and current awareness updates, using Lexis, Capital IQ, Mergermarket,

Qualifications

3+ years' experience within a law firm, professional services, consulting, private equity, venture capital, research, or business development environment.
Strong experience conducting secondary research and analysing business intelligence data.
Exceptional written communication skills with outstanding attention to detail, grammar, consistency, and accuracy.
Confidence leveraging AI-powered research tools while applying sound judgement and rigorous quality control.
Ability to transform complex information into clear, business-focused recommendations and summaries.
Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, dashboards, data analysis, and automation, are highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver market, company, industry, and competitive intelligence to support strategic business development initiatives.
Produce high-quality written deliverables such as company profiles, executive biographies, M&A tracking, current awareness updates, and opportunity reports.
