Job summary

eFinancialCareers is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join a strategic xVA technology team. The role will cover pricing, counterparty credit risk and regulatory capital calculations across global derivatives portfolios.

The position is a 6-month initial contract with planned extensions, offering a split of 50% hands-on coding and 50% managerial responsibilities. Strong Java, Spring, Hibernate and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead software engineer with strong Java in enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience across monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Expertise in Spring, Hibernate, JPA and REST APIs.
• Advanced SQL and PostgreSQL skills.
• Technical leadership, architecture design and mentoring responsibilities.
• Experience partnering with Front Office, Risk, Finance or Trading stakeholders.
• Cloud exposure, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• CI/CD, automation and platform modernization experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design decisions for xVA tech team.
• Hands-on coding for half of the time.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Finance or Trading stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide engineering staff.
• Drive CI/CD, automation and platform modernization initiatives.
