Edinburgh-based company seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of scalable software for industrial digitalisation. You will own architecture, guide prototyping, and shape product-ready solutions leveraging REST, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

The role emphasizes client collaboration, rapid MVP development, and mentorship, with a hybrid working pattern (2 days in office) and a competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses.

Formación

• 7+ years in software/product engineering.
• Strong programming in Python, C++, or C# and solid architecture knowledge.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of industrial protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, develop, test, and deploy critical software components and data pipelines with ownership over technical solutions.
• Create prototypes and MVPs to validate client needs and opportunities.
• Design scalable backend architecture integrating industrial data sources and cloud services using REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Engage with clients and teams to translate operational challenges into innovative technical solutions.
• Lead development of Digital Twin applications and industrial digital solutions, integrating real-time data with simulation models and visuals.
• Identify opportunities to turn recurring client problems into scalable products and oversee reuse and commercialization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues to ensure architecture integrity and high-quality delivery.
