Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority is seeking a Lead Performance Analyst at our Sheffield head office. You will lead development and delivery of the corporate performance reporting framework, producing high-quality reports for senior audiences such as the Executive Leadership Board, MCA Board and Government.

You will drive data-driven insight, improve governance and lead a small team to strengthen performance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing performance indicators, reporting frameworks and outcomes-focused measures.
• Strong expertise in Power BI and data visualisation tools.
• Experience using analytical techniques and data to generate meaningful insight.
• Experience of leading, developing and supporting teams.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance and reporting processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of SYMCA's corporate performance reporting framework.
• Oversee production of high-quality performance reports for senior audiences including the Executive Leadership Board, MCA Board and Government.
• Develop reporting that demonstrates progress against corporate priorities, organisational objectives and long-term outcomes.
• Use modern reporting and visualisation tools to improve efficiency, accessibility and insight.
• Lead and develop a small team and promote high standards of analytical practice.
