Job summary
Altro Limited is seeking a Lead Engineer - Recycling & Circular Manufacturing to shape how materials are recovered, recycled and reused across our product portfolio. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer who is passionate about sustainability and the circular economy.
The role is permanent and hybrid, with regular travel. You will develop Altro's recycling capabilities, lead feasibility studies, define material specifications and build partnerships with researchers and
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
- Experience with recycling technologies and material recovery.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical projects.
- Experience in feasibility studies and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop recycling and circular manufacturing roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to recover and reuse materials from waste streams.
- Lead feasibility studies and external recycling trials.
- Assess recycling technologies, equipment and routes for viability.
- Define recycled material specifications and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, development, sustainability, procurement and engineering teams.
- Build partnerships with recyclers, suppliers, universities and research organisations.
- Provide investment recommendations and business value assessments.
- Support development of future recycling infrastructure and capabilities.
