Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is seeking a Layout Engineer to shape the design of the next generation of nuclear power stations. You will help deliver electrical, mechanical and safety integrated layouts for major projects, with a collaborative engineering team.

The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the Bristol Aztec West office and two days remote. Salary starts at £48,131 per annum, with potential for a bonus and a market-leading pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Engineering within one or more disciplines such as mechanical, piping, HVAC or safety engineering.
• Experience applying layout engineering principles to large industrial projects.
• Understanding operation of nuclear power stations and safety requirements.
• Security Vetting eligibility (UK resident for at least three of the past five years).

Responsibilities

• Develop plant layouts by integrating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Review inputs and ensure consistency between docs and 3D models.
• Support routing and coordination of pipes, HVAC and cable trays.
• Produce technical reports, impact assessments and engineering justification documents.
• Manage layout changes and coordinate reviews across disciplines.
