Job summary

Wiltshire Council in the United Kingdom is actively seeking Kinship Support Workers to strengthen kinship care networks and support families within the Council’s Kinship Zone. The role focuses on helping children remain safe within their family and friends networks and works with a wide range of partners across Children’s Services.

You will provide practical, emotional and information-based support to kinship carers and families, collaborating with social workers, kinship & fostering teams,

Qualifications

• Experience in kinship care, family support, fostering, social care or related services.
• Ability to provide practical, emotional and information-based support to families.
• Experience working with children, carers, birth families and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, emotional and information-based support to parents, kinship carers and their families.
• Collaborate with social workers, kinship and fostering teams, education, health professionals and voluntary partners to ensure timely support.
• Contribute to development and delivery of Kinship Zone initiatives and service development.
