Job summary

Artefact in London is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our hybrid office. You will work on engineering projects with senior team members and pursue training and certification to grow in software engineering, data science, and data architecture.

Required: a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field; strong Python; experience with SQL; and familiarity with Git/CI‑CD, plus a proactive attitude and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, math, physics, engineering).
• Strong Python programming and solid data structures/algorithms knowledge.
• Solid understanding of version control and CI/CD workflows (Git).
• Experience with SQL for relational databases queries.
• Analytical mindset to break down complex problems.
• Eagerness to learn and proactively develop skills via projects or coursework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for team collaboration.
